Puhuri is preparing to expand the Kaukanen wind park in Kannus toward east and north. In addition to the eight wind turbines currently in place, the plan is to build 15 new ones in the area.
The zoning initiative for the expansion project was approved by the Kannus local council in December 2021. The EIA and PAP (participation and assessment plan) for the project will be made public in early 2023.
